Rooster is a 12 yr old pony gelding standing at a perfect 13 hands. Rooster is the size everyone looks for and can’t find. He is flashy and extremely gentle!
This has been my kids personal pony for 4 years. Rooster has literally done almost everything. He is suitable for leadline up to competitive kids. Barrels/poles/ straights he is not going to win but great for kids starting. He has been break awayed on some and been on the heel side with bigger kids. He is good for a kid starting out on slow cattle. Rooster has been used for Sorting, penning, goat tying and ranch rodeo he can do anything from beginner to hanging with the big guys. He has been hauled all over the country and seen all the sights. Out on the ranch Rooster has packed the little ones out to gather on big places. Rooster stays quiet in chaos and nothing seems to bother him. He is used to tractors, side by sides , cattle , crazy cow kids, chickens , cats , dogs etc. Rooster is sure footed out on trails through water, swampy bottoms and thick brush. He is quiet to saddle and groom and definitely prefers his kid over adults .You can let the little ones learn to do everything on the ground with him and don’t have to worry.He is ridden in a Hackamore or a chain bit. Rooster is big enough for a small adult to keep tuned up for the babies. When you do leadline with him, he will follow you through the patterns. You don’t even have to hold a lead rope!
