I would like to introduce you to Banjo! He’s a 5 year old Percheron Quarter Horse Cross. He is a classy bay with a white blaze, and Banjo stands at 16hh. He is as upbeat and fun as his name implies. Banjo is the type that will make you want to get in the saddle and go for a ride. He has 3 solid gaits, a nice walk, a flat kneed trot and a heavenly canter. He knows his leads and has his flying changes down pat. Banjo has seen many miles on the trails, from wide open countryside, to deep woods, water and rough terrain. Banjo is not one to shy from wildlife, crackling brush, and traffic. He has exceeded all expectations in his liberty work and knows every trick. Banjo will lay down, sit, bow and say yes and no to questions. He is very responsive to his riders seat and leg cues so much so you do not need tack to ride him. Not just at the walk, but even at the trot and canter, out on the trails or in the arena just hop on and go, no tack needed! Banjo has jumped both inside and out and loves it. He’s been used on several fox hunts, hunter paces and is as steady as they come. Banjo has also been exposed to many trail obstacles such as tarps, water, pool noodles, teeter-totters, opening and closing gates, etc. He will gladly go over, through, or around what ever you ask him. Banjo has worked on the farm moving cows, sheep, and goats. He’s been pasture roped off of as well. He will drag trees, logs or anything you need moved. Banjo is also broke to drive and is beautiful in harness. He has the timeless look, a sensible mind, and a kind and upbeat personality. He is truly an all around horse that will do any job you ask and he’ll look good doing it!! Banjo has been ridden by kids as young as 7 years old and adults in their 80s.
