Meet Vander who we affectionately call Van the man. This coming 5 yr old guy has been an absolute love to have in our lives. From the first day we met him it was obvious he was a young horse with the very best brain and an extremely bright future. He is amateur friendly and can be ridden by any level rider. He was started slow and correctly by a true professional horseman and for the past year has been continuing his life experiences with my daughter and I. Van has the most solid back ground from his ground work through his soft transitions to his brave leadership down the trails. This horse would prefer to go slow but is responsive to your aids. He is a beautiful mover with the most comfortable trot and canter. He has been lightly shown at various horse shows over fences and was Champion his first time out. He is brave and correct over fences and keeps a lovely tempo on course. His lead changes are there if you ask and with his balanced canter they will just get better and better. He does not require any type of preparation for the horse shows and goes right from the trailer to the ring to perform. Vander has been hauled off property for extensive trail rides through mountainous terrain, large water, heavy traffic and has even ridden up on various wildlife. You can hack out alone on the trails or join a large group, either way he is lovely. He is as stunning in western tack as he is in english and has a nice neck rein and moves laterally. Vander is the same horse on and off property and is unphased by all things. He is an excellent choice for any and all disciplines. He would love a future as a winning show hunter, Fox Hunter, Eventer, Husband horse or someone’s all around forever guy.
Around the farm you won’t find a better friend. Van is like a sweet puppy dog with his in your pocket personality. He turns out wonderfully with others, clips, stands for Vet/Farrier, trailers great and loves a bath! He is taken care of daily by my children and is great with dogs, chickens, cats, quads, heavy equipment and peterbuilts.
