Sparky has been taking care of one of our most prized possessions…our four year old grandson, Brannon. Sparky stands 47” tall so he is small enough that a smaller kid won’t be intimidated by him, but still big enough to last a kid several years. He will walk, trot, and lope, but his most valuable asset is he is safe for any child. He has unbelievably good ground manners that makes a small kid able to catch him, groom, pick out his feet, saddle and bridle, then he will stand still to climb on, whether it’s shimmying on any way they can, or next to a mounting block. Sparky does not need to be ridden regularly to stay safe and quiet. Once mounted, he is easily ridden alone by a child, either by himself, or ponying along behind a big horse. He crosses water easily, and goes anywhere you point him, including some places a child probably shouldn’t take him…such as inside the house…but that’s a whole different story as our grandkids are a little feral. Sparky has been desensitized with pretty much everything a four year old can pick up…tarps, nerf guns, balls, pool noodles, ropes, fireworks…you name it, he’s seen it. Not only has he been trail ridden countless miles, he’s been ridden on the ranch and feedyard both, while riding along with dad. He’s even been hauled to some sortings, ranch rodeos, and horse shows. New environments just don’t phase him in any way. Sparky has always been sound and has great feet. He gets along super well in a herd environment and you can catch him where you find him. Sparky truly loves kids and has an amazing personality. Brannon has left him tied all day while saddled, and he stands quietly to pretty much anything he can reach…4 wheeler, golf cart, wash rack, as well any thing thats under 4 foot tall. We just can’t describe what a joy this pony has been to have around, and we also know that your child’s safety is priceless, just as ours is. You won’t find another one any safer than Sparky.
