11/11 Equine is very proud to offer Granite, an outstanding draft cross gelding. Also affectionately known around the ranch as “Tiny”, as he stands 16 hands tall! Granite is a 15 year old bay roan Belgian and Quarter Horse cross. He was raised and used on the same ranch for the majority of his life. He is a seasoned ranch horse and has done every job you can think of. He has been doctored off of, sorted, gone on long overnight pack trips and gathers, loaded trailers, and is no stranger to the branding pen. Give Tiny a job, and he will get it done! He was also started on the head side, and wouldn’t take much to finish him out there. He will snub and pony colts, or lead pack strings. He has been through rough country in Utah and Arizona, and handles it all with ease. This gelding very very broke. He is soft in the face, moves off your leg, side passes, and has a big stop for such a big guy! All of this makes it extremely easy for Tiny to transition seamlessly between riding western and English as well. He is a fancy mover and would also excel in the dressage arena. For the last year Tiny has been the main mount for a 73 year old woman, trail riding him all over Arizona. He is safe safe safe for absolutely anyone. He has even been used in a wedding ceremony and handled the crowd like it was nothing! I have ridden him into town to the bars as well and he is very traffic safe. This guy is a gentle giant on the ground as well, stands at a block for mounting, stands tied anywhere you leave him, bathes, loads, and is one of my farrier’s favorite horses! Tiny is an easy keeper and requires no maintenance. He gets along well with other horses, and is honestly the favorite on our ranch.
