Kim K (A.K.A Kimmy) is a 2011 model QH/Percheron cross mare. One look at the hip and chest on this girl and you might be able to assume where she got her name from. She is WIDE! Kimmy weighs 1400 lbs, big boned, and has solid hooves. She has never foundered, 100% sound in every way! Words truly can’t describe how massive this girl is in person, and the best part she rides around soft and collected! Kimmy is beyond gentle! She will stand right next to a mounting block, fence, log whatever you need for an easy mount and dismount every time. She rides off level headed with no fuss no matter how long she sits. She transitions from a walk, trot, and lope with ease. Stops well and backs up when asked. I am 24 weeks pregnant and she might possibly be the smoothest/easiest horse I have to ride right now! Her lope is unreal! She takes her leads with ease and will lope a circle in the palm of your hand- not very many crossbreds will give you small circles like this girl! Not only does Kimmy have a great handle she is dang near what I would call bomb proof. We have climbed all over her like a jungle gym and she is completely unphased. She has carried the flag, drug tarps, went through all the trail obstacles, rode through town, NOTHING bothers her! On a trail ride a few nights ago we had three deer jump out of a corn field right in front of us and she didn’t even bat an eye! Kimmy is also a pro at carrying the saddle bags! This girl is big enough I think you could carry drinks for the entire family on her back! She is also accustomed to the camping life style! She is not spooky of bikes, fires, music, kids running and screaming, you name it she has seen it. On the trail she will cross water, logs, ditches, and mud with ease. Kimmy has NO buck, rear, kick, or bite! She is gentle and safe! Kimmy is easy to catch, stands tied, loads and unloads well, picks up all 4 hooves, saddles and bridles easy.
