Tall, dark, handsome, handy, and GENTLE.
All of these are perfect to describe this absolute dreamboat of a gelding!
“Gus” is a 9 year old, absolutely stunning, bay gelding that stands at a perfect 15 hands tall. I don’t even know where to start on this guy. Not only does he ride & look like a dream. He has the most kind eye and “teddy bear” personality you’ll find! Gus here is the definition of been there and done that. Gus has been used on the ranch and at the stock yards to gather, pen, sort, and work cattle. When he’s not working his 9-5, you can find him being the best trail horse around. Nothing in the world bothers this fella. He is traffic safe, trail safe, kid safe, critter safe, and is always reliable! Gus has been a favorite around here due to his love of affection and ability to adjust to many different levels of experience. From your day working cow hand, to someone who has never ridden and everyone in between. Gus will ride and handle accordingly! Gus has all the buttons you need from a butter smooth one hand neck rein, side pass, walk, jog, trot, rocking chair lope, great stop, back etc. which makes him a blast to ride! He is also extremely gentle on the ground. He Stands great for the farrier and vet work. He saddles and bridles right up and will ride off no matter if he’s turned out for a few weeks, or if he’s stalled and on full feed. He will always be the same! Mr.Gus will load on a tiny 2 horse or you can throw him on a 40 foot stock trailer with a load of cattle and he will back off with ease every time. I’ve also found that he’s about as handy as a shirt pocket to have around the farm. Open any gate, cross any obstacle, ride through any terrain or in the arena. Or just put your kiddos/ husband on him to enjoy a family trail ride! He is sure to be good & honest. Not to mention almost everywhere he goes, I seem to get a considerable amount of compliments about just how handsome he is. Gus has a TON of mane, tail, and shape! The most impressive part of that is just how easy keeping a handsome gentleman like himself is. Gus is super easy to keep happy, healthy, and sound! Which is really just the cherry on top. If I know anything in life, it’s that you can quite literally never go wrong with a good ole handsome, kind eyed, honest, bay gelding. A trusty classic that is getting harder & harder to find. I cannot wait to watch Gus make someone’s dream come true! Feel free to text or call with any further questions, or if you’d like to go on a “date” with this lovely gentleman and get to know him better in person! He’s sure to steal your heart and get you noticed. Thank you so much for looking, and God Bless!
