“Payday” – 15.1H, 7 year old sorrel grade quarter horse gelding. Payday is a thick, gorgeous made gelding! He is handy broke and has a ton of feel – huge stop, has all the natural rate you could ask for. He has a nice one-hand uncomplicated ranch horse handle on him, has a nice little smooth jog and lope, nice turnaround and stop – super automatic to work a gate on, if he could run the latch he could open and shut the gate for you while you answered texts on your phone! He rides outside just as well alone as he does with others, he has spent most of his riding miles checking cattle and fences and he is very confident and unphased by riding out alone. Payday has been well started on the sled and as a breakaway horse on live cattle, and he is just the right age to go on and do something big with! His last home he was just a trail riding pet and he’s really fat and out of shape, but just needs legged up and he’s ready to go do any job you have for him! He has a very professional all business disposition like your typical ranch using gelding, but he also has a not as typical sweet/kind personality and enjoys attention and affection. He is low maintenance and an easy keeper – he lives out with our “fat” horses and a donkey, and just gets fed a half bucket of cubes each day. He is happily kept up in a stall too – but he loves living out and he gets along with anyone outside in a group of horses. Payday was just trimmed this past week and he has absolutely excellent feet. His teeth were also just done by an equine dentist last month – and at the same time he had his sheath cleaned, his ears preemptively treated for ticks, and he was also power packed wormed.
