Dublin is a 6 year old Spotted Draft x Quarter Horse standing 15.3 hands high. "Wow!" is what everyone thinks when they meet Dublin. He is a gentle, loving, showstopper of a horse. He has the education, the experience, and most importantly, the factor of safety. Climb on and go on any adventure and know you have a solid, sensible horse beneath you. The sky is the limit when you partner with Dublin. He knows all of the moves in the ring, is as sure footed as they come on the trails, and is just simply fun to ride and be around. He wants to be everyones best friend, and will be a trustworthy partner for years and years to come, no matter what adventures you want to go on.
In the ring, Dublin is like no other draft cross you've seen. He has every button one could want, while still being gentle enough for the kids to take their weekly lessons on. He has the most incredible canter, with near perfect transitions. He is well on his way to performing pirouettes, knows all the lateral work, and can spin and stop like a ranch horse if you ask him to. There are few horses with the range that Dublin has. He can complete a second level dressage test, jump around the cross country field, teach the kids lessons, and has even been used for intro to vaulting! If you can dream it up, you can do it with Dublin. We see so many different horses every year, but there are very few horses that truly can pick up any discipline and do with the ease and confidence that Dublin does.
On the trails, Dublin is the number one trail master. Point him at anything, and he will go. He is brave, he is sure footed, and he is safe. There is no water too deep, hill too steep, or task too daunting. If trail blazing isn't your thing, he is equally capable and happy doing a hack around the farm with friends after a lesson, or going on a sunset stroll. The kids love to take him out into the woods after their ride and pop over the logs and coupes and play Saddle Club. On the cross country field, Dublin is brave and easy. He has the scope for any fence, and is as brave as they come.
In the barn, Dublin is the most loving horse around. He would rather live in your house than the barn, and is the first to the fence to come in and get attention. He stands to be bathed, clipped, tacked, and groomed. He is used to the kids climbing all around him, and he is always polite and gentle. Dublin lives out, weather permitting, and is a good boy when stalled. He goes out in a mixed herd and gets along well with everyone. He has no vices, quirks, or funny business, and is an easy keeper that's a pleasure to have in the barn.
Dublin is the type of horse that comes around once in a blue moon. There is not another horse like him, and I'm not sure we will ever be able to find anything even close. From his looks, to his personality, the way he rides, and his brain, Dublin is absolutely one of a kind.
