Abe is a super fun horse – just the right size at 14.2 and thick made, he seems bigger than he is because he’s long legged and big bodied!!! He is only 6 years old and has his whole life in front of him. He has a great personality, extremely kind and willing and he loves to have a job. He is the same horse if you turn him out for a month, or if you ride them every day. He is content to go anywhere in a group if you ride out, he’ll ride next to a horse, behind all the horses, or he will lead the pack confidently! He rides on a big loose rein – and always has his ears up looking around, excited to go see the next thing there is to see. He hops right on the trailer and hauls quietly, and ties, saddles, bridles, and is great with his feet for the farrier. He is extremely honest and kind – our camera lady kinda panicked and bailed shooting because she was terrified… but check out the video where his loping bosal becomes untied -RIGHT ON the side of the highway!!! He just hung out and stopped while the rider reached up and re-tied it. He is a sweet, fun, kind horse. He has enough athletic ability and handle to go use on the ranch or would be great in the turn back pen – and he has been lightly started in the roping pen on both the head and the heel side. Abe just wears front shoes and his feet were just reset last week. His teeth were just done by our equine dentist two weeks ago, and he also had his sheath cleaned, his ears preemptively treated for ticks, and was dewormed at that time. He is in great shape, just a hair on the fat side, but is plenty fit enough to go right to work. He is an easy keeper and in good health.
