Say hello to one of the most unique draft crosses we have ever had in the barn!
Timber is one of those horses that just never has a bad day! When it comes to doing whatever kind of riding or driving you want to do, whether it’s going into town for a fun Sunday afternoon in the Carraige or going on a trail ride. He is absolutely perfect on any kind of trail. Up and down hills, crossing water, over bridges, and through any type of terrain. He will happily ride out alone or in any size group.
Timber will easily walk, trot, canter bareback, western, or English. You can slow him down to a super comfy quarter horse like jog and then you can turn around and push him forward into the bridle in English tack and go ride a dressage test. Timber picks up his leads perfectly and knows leg aids very well with great transitions. He’s never cinchy and never needs to be lunged or warmed up to ride well, He’s the kind that’s just honest and willing every day no matter what you decide to do.
Timber stands excellent in crossties, for tacking, harnessing, farrier, bathing and grooming. He’s a pleasant, gentle horse to be around. He’s 100% sound and healthy in every way needs no special maintenance.
When he finishes shedding out his winter hair he is going to be a real stunner with his chocolate dappled coat and his silvery mane and tail!
If you’ve been searching for that perfect draft cross that gives you the best of both breeds Timber truly checks all the boxes!
